9:05am... alarm clock rings, and snoozed after 2mins of ringing.
10:11am... still snoozing and not really registering the need to wake up.
11:23am... looks at time *gasp* ahhhh yes i wont even make the next bus so i decide it'll be more worth it to stay in bed and wriggle my warm toes.. =D
12:02am... scrambles out of bed, making sense of the time and knowing that studio starts at 12:30. TOO LATE to go to uni now. lets not even bother. Don't you hate waking up in the middle of the day and still feeling tired? That heavy sense of tiredness weighs on you, and you try to find a reason to justify how sleeping 8hrs and snoozing for 2hrs makes you more tired than sleeping 8hrs and waking up. Well so in midst of half snoozing/sleeping/trying to get up i decide that maybe i'm sick- that explains the fatigue right? Then i realise being sick means i'd have a blocked nose and congested nasal passages by now. Nope. none of that.. so i finally diagnose myself with MONDAYITIS. yayyy so after knowing what im down with.. i ring up perth zoo to see if they're still recruiting for docents this year.. but the answering machine keeps picking up with "Welcome to the Perth Zoo visitors information centre, our operating hours are 9am to 3pm, so please leave a message and we'll get back to you" ONE- ITS EFFIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY AND I EVEN TRIED CONVERTING TO EST TO JUSTIFY FOR THEIR LACK OF ANSWERERS THEN I REALISED THERE WAS NO NEED TO SINCE ITS FREAKIN PERTH ZOO. FCOL. blonde moment #89890000 anyway they should really hire some phone answerers.
By now its too late to even make the next bus. i doodle around way too much. so i decide to msg ash to tell her about my dilemma ... well its hardly a delimma. i was hoping she'd reply with a "omg STUDIO IS TRES IMPORTANT so get your butt here asap" i mean that would've been enough to motivate me to get ready in 2mins, in time to catch my bus. But instead she replies with "Omg you're kidding... i was planning on bunking too! Hehe wanna be naughty together?" hahha that sounded so wrong. Be naughty together? Oh yes please. anything to wag studio on a monday. (Don't get me wrong, i usually am a fairly decent uni girl and i always go to studio on mondays. Its just... Asha gives me the license to wag without allowing the feelings of guilt to destroy the "wagging experience" You should try it- its thrilling.)
So we start brainstorming what we could do that is infinitely more exciting than being responsible students.
Diana: (sms) Hey you wanto go to the perth zoo?
-phone rings-
Both: -laughs- omg yeahhh.. blah blah.. conversation gets too engaging so we forcefully hung up only to see each other in 20mins.
Mannn bitch at the front door would not let me buy a concession ticket because my uwa student card doesn't have a 2007 sticker. WHAT A WHORE. DO I LOOK LIKE I DROPPED OUT OF UNI ?!?! HELLO IM VERY SERIOUS ABOUT MY ARCHITECTURE DEGREE THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Anyways.. PERTH ZOO ROCKS!!! =D IT WAS INDEED A WELL-SPENT DAY. You know us architects, we need to draw inspirations from diverse places. yeah... its totally what we do
How a wombat made my day: in short
Koalas make me want to crawl into foetal position on a tree and look huggable
Elephants remind me of that time i went on an elephant ride and my finger got painfully jammed somewhere in between somewhere. anyway- it hurt a hell of a lot.
Tigers are amazing and i want one
Lions .. have you heard them roar? they reallly roar like ROAHHHHHRRRR. it was cool
Squirrels were everywhere!
Meerkats -never heard of them until today. i guess they are pretty cool
Frogs were not spotted today! Not a single one. what a scam.. well we did get to go on a rope bridge that shook whenever someone moved. yeahhh sick. i'll be having one of those in my future house. and MAYBE just maybe i'll put some frogs in too hey?!
Rhinocerus have really beasty butts.
Tortoise - you think their shells are hard? You'll only begin to understand its hardness when you see it... they are REALLY HARD.
WOMBATS are the cutest thing you'll ever see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they move like jelly and they almost look like pigs and that is not a bad thing at all.
I shall introduce to two very cool and furry, roundish babes in my next post. Stay tuned!
DISCLAIMER: As far as my parents are concerned, I WENT TO UNI TODAY.
